Why This Show?
Growing up without a father and being raised in a single parent home by my mother and grandmother ignited the flame to create, Me and My Old Man-- a show about a big-dreamer adult son, who moves back home with his tough, disciplined, blue-collar dad to save money while he pursues his dreams.
As a young boy in Dallas, Texas I grew up watching shows like: "Sanford and Son", "Three's Company", "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", and "Different Strokes"-- Shows that gave me a reason to want to watch TV every week.
Through these timeless shows, I saw rich relationships develop despite generational, social and racial clash. That too is my desire with "Me and My Old Man"-- to have each episode emphasize the humour, struggles and triumps of a real father and son relationship in a three dimensional way.
My hope is that we entertain your spirit and inspire you as you join the journey of this father and son simply trying to make it in their new roles as "roommates" all over again.
